SAMSUNG COLOR WHEEL COMPLAINT = Noisy Operation When a SAMSUNG DLP whines or squeals, the color wheel is defective. The wheel rotates at 8,000 RPM and makes noise when the bearings are worn out. To fix the problem, the light engine assembly is removed, color wheel is replaced and any necessary adjustments are completed. There are a variety of color wheels, depending on the model and chassis. Color Wheel replacement is available for all Samsung models and some RCA models. All others require replacement of complete Light Engine assembly.
